Tim O’Reilly, who coined Web 2.0, is launching a new conference entitled TOC: Tools of Change for Publishing, next June in…San Jose, snubbing New York, the capital of publishing world.

Blogs and other social media tools have changed the publishing landscape, making self-publishing a reality and information-sharing easier than ever. And “Silicon Valley is the epicenter of the changes that are driving publishing.” BuzzMachine begs to differ: “The internet obsoletes epicenters.”
Why not Publishing 2.0? Because “the 2.0 meme is getting a bit over-used”. Right.
